Virtually Yours

All the prompts provided by Reena ji this time read very well, but somehow I found it a bit difficult to use them and get an enjoyable read. So using my fascination for movies, just presenting a comparison of the prompt vis a vis what the Bollywood hero would do or perform if the plot was to be anything like what is there in the prompt.  This should not at all be taken as a derogatory remark on the movies as such as I am also very fond of them like many others-

  1. He smiled as he closed the book, knowing that he had just read the most beautiful story ever written- Bollywood hero does not have to read a book to smile, rather only the glimpse of the heroine makes him smile.
  2. She looked at the stars one last time, then turned off the lights and left the observatory forever – Bollywood did make a movie like ET from Steven Spielberg but yet to make one like Star wars.
  3. He pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. The gun was empty, just like his life – Very acquainted and popular plot for an Amitabh movie, he only needed his long legs than the loaded gun.
  4. She hugged him tightly, feeling his heartbeat. It was the first time she had ever felt alive –  A common plot for a musical masala blockbuster.
  5. He watched the Sun set over the horizon, then took a deep breath and jumped –  Gone are the days for parallel cinema as it was called as. Remember the likes of Shyam Benegals, Mrinal Sens, Satyajit Rays, Nihlanis,Hrishikesh Mukherjees and others.
  6. She opened the envelope and read the letter. It was too late. He was gone – Fascinating love stories but always wondered as to why that envelop could never be opened timely in any movie before the sad song was played in.
  7. He finally reached the top of the mountain, only to find that there was nothing there – I am sorry, I never watched a movie on this, even a photograph like this will be hard to find.
  8. She closed her eyes and whispered, “I love you.” Then she let go of his hand and fell into the abyss –   Wait a moment, she will be reincarnated for another look alike and dance again with the hero of ours.
  1. He looked at the mirror and saw a stranger. He had forgotten who he was – Our hero never looks at the mirror, only girls watch him from the corner….
  2. She waved goodbye to her family, then boarded the spaceship. She was ready for a new adventure – Budget dearth always for such science movies to be made here.

  1. Haha. You can writea script for aperfect masala movie. What we would do without rough thakurs and dildariya Rahim chahcha and of course, loyal Ramu kaka.
