Empirically Yours

( Written for What do you see # 201 and Reena’s Xploration Challenge #295)

Human needs, dreams, all aspirations same,

Virtues, vices, and life’s destinations same,

Knowledge thirst and its proliferation same,

Information burst and its accumulation same,

Rustic emotions and their sophistication same,

Religion, dogma, and its ever justification same,

Progress with empirical ways n discrimination same,

But, we are lesser human, though bio identification same.

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #295

What do you see # 201- August 28, 2023

Good evening and see you next time.

Reena’s Guidelines– We have a word prompt this week. You are free to use the word itself or a synonym or just capture the spirit of it in your piece- empirical

There is no restriction on format of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.

Any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or something that hurts common sensibilities will not be included. This needs to be a safe space.

Create a post on your blog, and copy-paste the link in Comments. In case you are using a pingback, do check back to see if it has worked.

The feminists, humanists and individualists amongst you are welcome to follow us at

Sadje’s Rules-

  • You can write a post on your blog and create a pingback to link to the original post.
  • Write an original story, poem or a caption.
  • There is no limit to words or format but keep it family-friendly.
  • If you post a response before next Sunday, I will be able to add it to my roundup post.
  • I will do a round-up next Sunday before the next Prompt is posted.
  • It is always helpful if you can give your post/story/poem a title.
  • There are issues with pingbacks in WordPress these days. So please paste a link of your post in the comments section so that I don’t miss anyone in the roundup post.

Please tag your responses with
#Whatdoyousee Or #WDYS

Does the picture ( on the prompt) inspire you to write something?

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows the dashboard of a car traveling on an empty road. There is someone who is inserting a cassette into the cassette player of the car. You can also see an old fashioned radio in the dashboard console. Above the dashboard, a phone holder is attached to the windscreen.

Waiting eagerly for your responses.

Thanking you all for joining this prompt.
