Quadrille: Mirror – Mirror; Please don’t lie
Merril D. Smith is hosting at dVerse today. The prompt is mirror, and she has encouraged us to write a Quadrille (44 word poem).
Below is what the mirror said to me when I looked at it myself:
Mirror mirror on the wall,
Please answer my frantic call,
Why you always affirmative,
Donβt you have another alternative.
(Mirror replied),
True mirror is within you inside,
Why living in foolβs paradise,
You would break me if I advise you,
For truth would never entice you.
Good morning and see you next time. (44 words, no count for Mirror replies..)
Well written!!
