(An urge to the great Banyan Tree under which The Buddha got enlightenment)

The World needs a Buddha again,

Help us, thou shall O!  Banyan tree,

Humanity all over the black stain.

Trauma, affliction and only pain,

No peace no harmony, you agree,

The World needs a Buddha again.

Brotherhood & affection assumed in vain,

Greed and jealously today’s decree,

Humanity all over the black stain.

Driven by all efforts so mundane,

Cut throat acts, rampage & spree,

The World needs a Buddha again.

Nature sobs on deeds; utterly insane,

Man turning it into a brown debris,

Humanity all over the black stain.

To His creation, man showing full disdain,

Please save mankind and make us free,

Humanity all over the black stain,

The World needs a Buddha again.

  7. Beautiful, JM. I think there are Buddhas in the world yet, scattered here and there. Perhaps not many, but even a sprinkle of sugar can make the difference in whether a dish is palatable.
