The Almighty has shown us all a door,

A door to happiness and, prosperity,

To good health, humanity & longevity,

We open the door and get the treasure,

We be oblivious and miss the pleasure,

Enjoy heaven and create hell for others,

Or open the door for all and be the savior,

It’s nature’s door, real heaven medium,

Not like unreal Sailing to Byzantium.

( Reena’s Xploration Challenge #290 Posted on July 27, 2023 by Reena Saxena)

(Reena came across some interesting titles while browsing Medium, 1-You are not entitled to your beliefs, and no one has to respect them,      2- Ashes to ashes, Dust to Dust, Twitter to X, 3- One Lie does not erase thousands of truths and 4- The Confidence to Surrender Control)

Never think you are entitled to your beliefs,
But do think you are a custodian of your beliefs,
Maybe no one has any respect for them,
But you must always have a faith on them,
From first wisdom to your rite of  ashes to ashes and dust to dust,
You must always have a faith on them,
Let them be  unaltered by a change even if that change is smooth like,

Twitter to X, Back Rub to Google and Auction Web  to eBay.
You must always have a faith on them,
Even if an untruthful belief tries override yours,
You must always have a faith on them,
Since, one Lie does not erase thousands of truths,
Have confidence in your beliefs to have a confidence in yourself,
Let these beliefs control yourself joyfully till,

He up there is confident on you to surrender your Control for ever to Godself.

(Written for weekend Prompt #322 – Flutter by Sammi)

That tiny limb which marks the difference,

Between what the God has made,

and what the man can make,

Let it not throb just ‘for and with blood‘,

Let it flutter with human emotions.   (34 words)

Weekend Writing Prompt #322 – Flutter

Good evening and see you next time.

Guidelines- Weekend Writing Prompt #322: This weekend your challenge is to write a poem or a piece of prose in exactly 34 words using the word “Flutter”.

The challenge is simple: each week you will be given an exact number of words you can use to write a poem or piece of prose.  You can use any format or style you like; go wherever your inspiration takes you.  The only rules are these:

Can’t wait to read what you have come up with!

Historically Yours

(Written for #SoCS- One/Won dated

History respects the one who fought and won,

History remembers the one who fought his heart out yet lost,

History ignores the one who who ought to have fought but didn’t,

But, history detests the one who never fought and betrayed own people.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 29, 2023

By history what I mean here is not necessarily that’s taught to us and is in records but what is passed on to the next generation by a previous one in a family, a society, a tribe, a class, a city or even a group. Similarly, only wars are not fought always, there are more acts in life much more ferocious than a war.

Good evening and see you next time.

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing (typos can be fixed), and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.

3. I will post the prompt here on my blog every Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a particular subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” “Begin with the word ‘The,’” or will simply be a single word to get you started.

4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours.  Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.

5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read all of them! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later or go to the previous week by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find below the “Like” button on my post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. As a suggestion, tag your post “SoCS” and/or “#SoCS” for more exposure and more views.

8. Have fun!

Simply Yours

(W3 Prompt #65: Wea’ve Written Weekly posted on July 26, 2023)

Firstly, I thought it must be love,

Which imparts a reason to live with,

But there is less love in the world than hate,

No, it certainly can’t be love alone.

Then I thought, it must be distress,

One can only express one’s agony then,

But suppressed are scared to express themselves,

No, it certainly can’t be distress alone.

Then I thought, it must be faith,

It doesn’t need and doesn’t lead to a reason

And, it doesn’t require to be and cannot be expressed,

No, it certainly can’t be faith alone.

Then I thought,  success, failure, or mirth are the ones,

They all give you meaning for being human,

But more poetry in nature, in rhythm so mundane also,

No, it certainly can’t be these alone.

Well then I thought, it’s the life and life only,

Which itself is a poetry, all who live are poets,

Who sing it well express themselves and,

Who sing even better keep it to themselves.

Suddenly Yours

Advertisements

In todays perspective, life without social media usage in just unthinkable, and communication via whats app is an important aspect in that regard. Many of us are not only using that but also are in different whats app groups as well. Government officials have to necessarily be in dozens of such groups and they are not supposed to leave any of the groups. Its obviously very difficult to simultaneously put messages in different groups as many of them differ in purpose, level of the group members’ responsibility profile and the adroitness in the language being messaged in.   All the more difficult in another case when a person has to suddenly put his viewpoint in a particular group or when he suddenly joins a chat in which certain discussion has being going on for some time without his being part of it. Very much understandable in the first one and is really excusable owing to different nature of the groups, but in later case, it is very awkward for a person if the message is completely out of context within the same group.

A good example of the second version; recently, a pal of mine got really embarrassed in congratulating his friend in a whats app group for marrying (again). He casually joined the on going chats about the marriage of the daughter of his friend, but by that time, other members had gone quite far in enquiring about groom and groom’s family. And then, some acquainted person in the group had commented, ” yes, he got married sometime back…” Who he was referring to was the groom’s father who had divorced long back.   This poor pal of mine, without wasting any moment, congratulated the friend for his own marriage, whereas he should have in fact congratulated for his daughter’s marriage, and surprisingly, the marriage he was congratulating for was that of groom’s father.

Good morning and see you next time.

Smilingly Yours

It is here Oh! Yes, it is there,

If you look for it, it’s every where,

With an agony and after a distress,

Just be honest and just be fair.

Hidden in the tiniest petty things,

if you look for it, it’s every where,

Rekindles even if you have failed,

And rejuvenates you for a new glare.

Whatever the conditions whichever the time,

If you look for it, it’s every where,

Try it for yourself for your own sake,

Smile more Smile, a no cost affair.

Accrues multifold, remains as a treasure,

If you look for it, it’s every where,

Smile and let others smiles, too,

The World needs it, it’s a “human prayer“.

Powerlessly Yours

Advertisements

(Written for W3 Prompt #64: Wea’ve Written Weekly- “power”)

Passion to lift all downtrodden selflessly,

Open for help to all who live helplessly,

Willingness for equality beyond race and creed,

Energy to stand by all needy without any greed,

Reasons to draw own joy from others’ smile,

Pity others with empathy & reverence in style.

or

Rugged but applies might on the weak,

Energetic but uses it just like a freak,

Wealthy but no philanthropy to offer,

Outrageous to others, never ever softer,

Pugnacious on poor and amicable to the rest,

Resents envies with Other persons at the crest.

Just to sum up, powerful person rises by lifting others.
