(Moonwashed Weekly Prompt #145)
Your majestic heart,
Like a fairy tale dingle,
Dwells a heaven.
Good evening and see you next time.
with no commitments and all excuses
(Moonwashed Weekly Prompt #145)
Your majestic heart,
Like a fairy tale dingle,
Dwells a heaven.
Good evening and see you next time.
I am quoting beautifully meaningful lines of a hit Bollywood movie song but,
the funniest part is that I found it being played in a marriage reception
party recently. Please read the lines and comment as to why the song was being
played there. The lines are-
One darkness
A million stars, if you see,
One disappointment
A million support to render, if you seek,
Life is the greatest gift,
Innocent are those who feel lost in life.
एक अँधेरा लाख सितारे एक
निराशा लाख सहारे
सबसे बड़ी सौगात हैं जीवन
नादाँ हैं जो जीवन से हारे
Courtesy Shri Indeevar ji, Hindi Movie Soundtrack ‘Aakhir Kyon’.
Good evening and see you next time.
Why tore my fragile heart,
Stitch or give yours ‘in-barter’.
With hand folded humble ‘excuse-request’ to all the young ( even others 😊) eligible ones who are recently infatuated that I have no intention of stealing these words of their copy right.
In response to Weekend Writing Prompt- 313- Stitch, hosted by Sami Cox
Weekend Writing Prompt #313: This weekend your challenge is to write a poem or a piece of prose in exactly 10 words using the word “Stitch”-
The challenge is simple: each week you will be given an exact number of words you can use to write a poem or piece of prose. You can use any format or style you like; go wherever your inspiration takes you. The only rules are these:
A Twin Haiku
Good – natured shadows,
Are brighter in life’s twilight,

Good evening and see you next time.
Allow that calmness,
Much humming in the world,
In death, noise intrudes. (To the Nature)
Allow us your warmth,
Relations now grow colder,
Nurture, don’t let them freeze. ( To the Humanity)
Allow us your light,
Before you set for the day,
To remove night’s black. (To the Sun)
Good evening and see you next time.
Weekend Writing Prompt #312 – Ephemeral
In this ephemeral world,
Why this pride O! King,
Remember what is yours today,
Was proudly owned by someone else yesterday,
And, it will certainly be someone else’s tomorrow,
Its only time which makes you brag,
Which is yours today, not of other’s….
Word Count – 43 stipulated words
Good evening and see you next time.
(Written for : David’s W3 Prompt #55: Wea’ve Written Weekly)
Tangled thoughts, how and when to embrace,
Restless mind, sporadic concerns, we chase,
Our desires, shared or left astray,
Uncertain if they’ll bloom or simply decay,
Bursting with life, still we seldom dare to believe,
Leaving behind doubts, we yet choose,
Eternal journey this is; lonely we go……

In Thursday inspiration hosted by Jim, the number he referred to is by Meredith Brooks called ‘bitch”. In the song , Meredith Brooks says, “I’m a little bit of everything, all rolled into one“. This immediately reminded me of our beloved Whitey Houston’s powerful song called ” I’m every woman” (original by Chaka Khan, Queen of Funk-Soul), a movie- bodyguard soundtrack starring Kevin Costner and Whitney herself. Apart from being an ardent fan of Whitney, I remember watching this movie thrice way back in 90’s.
Theme of both the songs have some similarity. While Meredith says “Just when you think you’ve got me figured out, the season’s already changin, I think it’s cool you do what you do, and don’t try to save me” to imply that the hero would need to change along with the heroine to keep them together due to her insouciant style, Whitney says ” Oh, I can sense your needs like rain onto the seeds, I can make a rhyme of confusion in your mind, and when it comes down to some good old fashioned love, I got it, baby” clearly expressing her desire to change for him.
So, in response to; Thursday Inspiration # 208 – Today, hosted by Jim there it is Late Whitney Houston, as my tribute to her. You will always remain forever young in our hearts Whitney.
Good afternoon and see you next time.
Quadrille: Mirror – Mirror; Please don’t lie
Merril D. Smith is hosting at dVerse today. The prompt is mirror, and she has encouraged us to write a Quadrille (44 word poem).
Below is what the mirror said to me when I looked at it myself:
Mirror mirror on the wall,
Please answer my frantic call,
Why you always affirmative,
Don’t you have another alternative.
(Mirror replied),
True mirror is within you inside,
Why living in fool’s paradise,
You would break me if I advise you,
For truth would never entice you.
Good morning and see you next time. (44 words, no count for Mirror replies..)
Last weekend, I happened to overhear this beautiful song when I was parking my car in the basement area of our building. I went to that neighbor of mine and got it in the pen drive to listen to it a couple of times more. How soothing and refreshing it is to just feel the meaning of each word, in thousand ways by Mr Kailash Kher, the popular singer. This will not only moisten eyes of any heartless human but will also moisten the soul of a human with undeterred love for anyone…This love could be for anyone; the God, a source of motivation, your fiancée/fiancé, your sibling, father or mother or even for your faith…
A cult of Sufism or Mysticism invariably talks of this love for that eternal power just like the love for any human being. Lyrics very distinctly define and desire the need for this love for making the lover’s identity dissolved into the other and therefore that lastly extinction. Life’s uncanny knack of giving fatigue to even an untiring person makes him say what lies beneath–
I don't want diamonds and pearls,
I want confluence of our souls,
I am yours, my love and,
I am affirmed that you are mine.
It is you whose touch with love,
Will make me die smoothly and joyfully,
Come, my love, in these arms of mine,
I will get disappeared in you,
I get lost in your name thereafter.
Oh! my love, you are absolute,
Only you are absolute,
By means of this confluence,
Let us now become absolute. (Absolutely Eighty Words)
