Strangely Yours

( Written for W3 Prompt #100: Wea’ve Written Weekly )

( I don’t know if one finds any introspective perspective in this… but if not, I will INTROSPECT myself 😊😀 so request to deem the introspection version included to that extent. 😜)

There are ones we spent the whole life with and they remain strangers. And then there are the ones we meet for the first time and never part afterwards. It’s about you O! stranger, stranger for only once, strangely enough that how could you be a stranger though when-

you were there in my lyrics,

You were in my life like a vase of flowers

when It feels like knowing you for years

that came to me only now.

O! stranger, stranger for only once…

color of my dream is spread now

that you came into my heart like a heartbeat

that every breath is coming through a clarinet

O! stranger, stranger for only once…

like a soothing prayer in the darkness

when night comes, solitude beckons

to sing songs for your charm

O! stranger, stranger for only once…

  1. This is just lovely, JM. I like how your imagery of flowers, dreams, heartbeats, and clarinets evokes a sense of longing and discovery in my mind!

  2. Your poem makes me respond with – Oh yes…..Once is all it takes. I love the idea of the stranger we meet that has just been waiting to be recognised by our soul at just the right moment – really lovely
